The overwhelming response to Microsoft’s new operating system has been almost entirely negative, with more users hating Windows 8 than Microsoft would ever have imagined. In a world exploding with tablets and touchscreens, Microsoft’s decision to saddle Windows 8 with the finger-friendly Modern interface formerly known as Metro makes a lot of sense for mobile technology. But if you’re among the majority of Windows users who aren’t using a tablet or a touchscreen, the focus on Live Tiles and mobile-centric apps is more of a frustration than a feature.
Can’t find your programs? Where’s the START menu gone? How to you get rid of this annoying tile screen? If you want your old WINDOWS look back, please give me a call.
